Monday, September 30th is Picture Day. That day is also this year’s Orange Shirt Day. Orange Shirt Day is held each year to  commemorate the residential school experience, to witness and honour the healing journey of the survivors and their families, and to commit to the ongoing process of reconciliation.  The organizers of Orange Shirt Day welcome participation and encourage participants to do so on a day that works for them.  Because of the conflict with Picture Day, we will hold our Orange Shirt event on Tuesday, October 1st.  Students are welcome to wear their orange shirts on that day in recognition of this event.
