Toonies for Terry – Thursday, Oct 8, 2020

https://secure.terryfox.ca/registrant/TeamFundraisingPage.aspx?TeamID=909575

We are thrilled to participate in the Terry Fox Run again this October. Last year we raised $852.00 to help support cancer research. So many people are directly and indirectly affected by this devastating disease. We have established our annual “Toonies for Terry” campaign where we ask each student and staff member to donate a toonie for Terry. Please make all donations through Cash Online. All monies collected will go to the Terry Fox Foundation where it will be used to help fund cancer research so that one day, this disease will be a thing of the past. Can you imagine a world without people dying of cancer? We can help make that dream come true.

Thank you so much for your continued support!

New Yard Rules! – Sept 18, 2020

Dear Students and Parents,

Please be advised that beginning Monday, September 21st, all WCDSB schools will enter ‘Recess Phase 2’.

What this means:

  • Students can bring a piece of individual equipment from home for use in school yard (e.g., skipping rope, basketball or soccer ball)
  • Restrictions around use of equipment:

E.g., a soccer ball may be kicked back and forth between students within the same cohort, but no hands may be used and no soccer games can be played at this time – students must still maintain physical distancing

E.g., basketball – one ball per student – one hoop per two students – each student has their own ball

  • Equipment must be stored in a bag from home (e.g, backpack)
  • Students sanitize appropriately, before & after recess

Social distancing must be maintained during the use of equipment. If social distancing is not maintained during the use of the equipment, the item may be sent to the office and returned to the student at the end of the day. The student will then be told not to bring the equipment back to school for a period of time.

Thank you for your support.
